Hey Kurl Friend! My name is Helena and I am a HBCU alum and first generation Ethiopian-American from the DMV.
I've always had extremely sensitive skin and been a bit of a product junkie...let me tell y'all...those two things don't really go together. 😠After several allergic reactions and irritations from popular products I tapped into the indie beauty world.
Working as an event coordinator and brand ambassador for 3 years, as well as earning a certification in Cosmetic Chemistry gave me a new outlook on the beauty industry and the products I used.
I wanted to create a platform for my fellow product junkies/enthusiasts to shop freely without worries of toxic ingredients or ambiguous ownership. And so Konjo was born.
